Our Mission

The Mission of Hospitality House

Our mission is to provide short-term housing and services for individuals and families affected by homelessness in Scott County, Kentucky.  This short video presents an overview of The Scott County Hospitality House.

Our Vision

Motivated by compassion for our neighbors and a desire to raise the quality of living for all Scott County residents, our vision is to provide a safe place and support services for individuals and families in need, to help them make the transition from the instability of homelessness or inadequate housing to the stability of a long-term residence.  We hope to provide short-term emergency housing and intermediate-term transitional housing as needed, covering a few nights or up to three months of rent and utilities. While in our transitional program, families and individuals will receive or be referred to services such as emotional counseling, financial counseling, life skills, and job training.
We understand that homelessness can happen to anyone at any time, for a variety of reasons, whether because of a struggling economy, the ravages of domestic violence and addiction, or sudden loss. And getting back on your feet takes more than a handout; it takes a community.
